David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
